Where Did You
Study Dentistry?
After graduating from Michigan State University (where he studied biology), Dr. Young went to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry for his dental degree, eventually graduating in 1994.
As part of his desire to continue nurturing his skill set and expanding his knowledge, Dr. Young has completed the continuum at the Kois Center for Advanced Dental Learning; in 2005, he started serving as a mentor there. In the past, he has also undergone a mini-residency for dental implants from Nobel Biocare, and he has completed a number of courses focusing on oral surgery and bone grafts.
Dr. Young is very passionate about 3D dentistry, having presented various courses and webinars regarding the topic at institutions such as the University of Texas Health, the San Antonio School of Dentistry, and the Washington Academy of General Dentistry. He has earned a certification in using an InstaRisa 3D facial scanner for planning advanced treatments like dental implant placement. Additionally, he is the founder (and current president) of Digital Dentistry Solutions. He’s also on the Board of Education for Planmeca and acts as their Key Opinion Leader.
